Mahindra COMPAX Mini Compactor

India's infrastructure story is being built one layer at a time — from city roads to rural connectivity programs — and the quality of compaction decides how long that layer lasts. Mahindra COMPAX Mini Compactor is a mini tandem compactor designed and built in India, powered by the renowned Mahindra 275 DI engine that has quietly powered the country's mini compactor category for years.

Compact, dependable and easy to maintain, The Mahindra COMPAX Mini Compactor is specially designed and built for contractors and fabricators who need consistent, reliable compaction on site, every single day.

Mahindra Compax engine

ENGINE

For years, Mahindra engines have powered mini compactors across India — quietly doing the hard work behind countless machines, on countless sites. That same dependable engine, the Mahindra 275 DI, now powers a machine of Mahindra's own. It is a 3-cylinder, liquid-cooled, CEV Stage-V compliant engine delivering 18.5 kW (24.8 hp), built on years of hands-on experience and tuned specifically for Indian ground conditions.

Mahindra Compax fuel efficiency

FUEL EFFICIENCY

Fuel is one of the biggest running costs on any job site, and COMPAX is engineered around it. The Mahindra 275 DI in-house engine is tuned specifically for compaction duty cycles, and Mahindra rates it as up to 30% more fuel efficient — paired with optimised hydraulics that avoid wasted pump effort. Lower fuel burn per hour means fewer refuelling stops, lower cost per square metre compacted, and a machine that keeps working through a longer shift on the same tank.

Mahindra Compax build quality

BUILD QUALITY

The Mahindra COMPAX Mini Compactor’s drum is engineered to take the punishment of daily site use. At 720 mm diameter with a Best-class 13 mm drum thickness and reinforced drum edges, it is built for a long working life. A strong centrifugal force of 3,179 kgf per drum, along with a static linear load of 14.64 kg/cm, gives the machine reliable compaction across soil, WMM and asphalt layers.

Mahindra Compax compaction system

COMPACTION SYSTEM

Mahindra COMPAX Mini Compactor offers two vibration frequencies — 65 Hz and 55 Hz — through a single pump, so the operator can match the setting to the material being compacted rather than relying on one fixed setting. This helps avoid over-compaction on sensitive layers while still delivering full force where the job needs it, all controlled through a simple hand throttle.

Mahindra Compax operator station

OPERATOR STATION

A ROPS-certified, foldable canopy keeps the operator protected on site, while wider rear-view mirrors, a mechanical hood stopper, and front-and-rear lights with metallic guards improve both visibility and safety. A weight-adjustable, suspension-type seat, comfortable steering, and a lockable glove box with mobile charging provision are all designed to reduce fatigue over a full working shift — because a comfortable operator is a productive operator.

Mahindra Compax hydraulics

HYDRAULICS

Mahindra COMPAX Mini Compactor uses leak-free ORFS (O-ring face sealed) hydraulic joints along with a spiral hose protection cover, reducing oil loss and unplanned downtime. Dedicated pressure measuring ports for the steering, vibration and travel systems make troubleshooting faster and simpler, while hydrostatic service brakes and a hydraulically released parking brake add a further layer of safety.

Mahindra Compax electricals

ELECTRICALS

An LCD instrument cluster keeps the operator informed on fuel level and coolant temperature at a glance, with an audio-visual warning if coolant temperature runs high. A battery cut-off switch, an emergency stop switch, and compliance with EMI/EMC requirements are built in for added site safety, while a higher-capacity 80 Ah battery and a 12V power socket support reliable starts and on-the-go mobile charging.

Mahindra Compax running economy

RUNNING ECONOMY

A 41-litre fuel tank and a 130-litre water tank let Mahindra COMPAX Mini Compactor run longer working stretches between refills, cutting down the time spent walking the machine back to the bowser. The Mahindra 275 DI engine, delivering 18.5 kW (24.8 hp) and a maximum torque of 124 ± 5 Nm, is designed for dependable day-long performance, with a gradeability of 30% that lets the machine climb ramps and embankments without needing a tow.

Mahindra Compax applications

MULTIPLE APPLICATIONS

Mahindra COMPAX Mini Compactor is built for a wide range of applications — urban society and building construction, industrial and warehouse land levelling, flyover and RE-wall work, road expansion projects, road maintenance and patch repair, and rural road construction under PMGSY. Its compact size and manoeuvrability make it equally at home on a confined city site or a stretch of open highway.
